ouf. the most annoying part for me about hollow knight has to do with achievements. Which means the game is pure perfection besides that. ||They included this near impossible achievement with p5. I mean I understand that those that can do it are happy, but all they managed with this is make countless people cheat the achievement with mods/cheats, which defeats the purpose entirely to get all achievements. Hades was way better on this because it was actually possible to get all achievements, without being a god gamer. Personally I preferred that. Its a minor thing at the end of the day but still quite annoying.||

Catcher efficiency = 14/33 = 0.4242
Twister efficiency = 11/24 = 0.4583
Ratio between them = 0.4583/0.4242 = 1.08 -> Twister is 8% better than Catcher

Your analysis seems to be as follows:
Catcher benefit = (14/33) / (11/33) = 14/11 = 1.2727 = 27% more than base
Twister benefit = (11/24) / (11/33) = 33/24 = 1.375 = 37% more than base
Ratio between them = 0.37/0.27 = 1.37 -> Twister is 37% better than Catcher

On the one hand, my metric is better for determining how long it takes for one to outpace the other (you would need 1/0.08 = 13 casts before Twister overtakes Catcher by a full cast); on the other hand, your method seems more logically sound for how much more one benefit is than the other (for instance, a +6 should be considered "twice as good" as a +3, which my method does not do).

which I don't think is correct since you're dividing two percent increases (which dont have any unit attached to them).

Both our methods are correct they just represent different things. Twister is ~8% better than soul catcher when directly compared, but catcher a ~27% increase over base while twister is ~37%.

And I think I should say, I agree catcher is a bit better than what people give it credit for, especially when combined with twister in which case it nearly rivals eater (actually is a miniscule amount better for the main vessel by my math), its just that most of the time for 4 notches eater will be better, and for two twister will be better.
