I mean yes deltarune>undertale,
Its not finished yet,we can’t say yet.
The idea is nice but the fact what meta-plot gets revealed on second chapter kinda makes me question Toby how he’s going to split other plot on other five chapters.
The plot is kinda interesting:
Without speculation,we know what the kind of idea of first two chapters (at least) is being free from someone’s control,being unlocked in prison.The jevil says something like “I’m not locked but you all are locked tho”,at first chapter I thought its kind of dumb joke type of “person sitting in cage and saying what he is actually cared all the world around him and he is free while whole other world is in cage”,but since chapter 2 arrives,it may also mean what jevil is actually free,but he is still on someone other’s strings.Spamton is interesting.
He is free and not on someone’s strings,but due to allat he lives in dumpster.I think you can have a deal with in-game devil to “sell ur soul” (he takes ur freeness) and get some power (like jevil done:he is on strings,but instead devil gave him huge power to annihilate everything).
As spamton,he made the same,devil called him on the phone,and he made a deal.He sells his freeness to devil and gets power.In his way its rather “you sell ur freeness,and every your deal is going to be victorious”.
But then....
He kinda don’t wanted to have strings on him anymore.He somehow got his freeness back,but devil immediately called him and said smth like “deal broke”.From this moment every spamton deal gets worse and worse until he looses all the money and getting his new “home” in dumpster.
He however tries again.He gains power,becomes new,but with power,strings come back,he again wants to be free,and new form is getting away after he got free.
At the end he says what heroes can actually break their strings.
This is my own cringe theory but I think it’s kinda nice.Its my thoughts.Any commentary?

I can play the fight extremely safe and win every time, if I feel like sitting around waiting for damage opportunities for a full minute at a time, but that's obviously not fun. the alternative is to play aggressive and go for risky hits, and then immediately get punished by sword rain spawning literally on my face. I don't enjoy either way of playing the fight, so it's bottom tier.

Look at the position. Black has a Queen, Bishop, and Knight against two mere Pawns. Yet White, cool as a cucumber, plays this quiet and unassuming move. What can Black do against the dual threats of b7# mate in 1 and c8=Q+ with mate next, all while the Queen still has no checks!?

Black's best chance in this position is to give the Queen back, with 9...Qa5+ 10. Kxa5, and try to get in the way with 10...Kb7. But then comes 11. bxa7 1-0, and one of these Pawns will promote. The game is over.

Actually, speaking of, it's incredible to think about the implications of this Knight which was forced to capture and get in Black's way all the way back in move 2. After 10. Kxa5, Black would have 10...Bxb6+ 11. Kxb6, which would be stalemate, if not for the silly Knight on e1 giving Black a move!
