Have u tried just dashing on a straight line? Probably not completely straight, because the Celeste level design doesnt let you. But lets think u have a perfectly straight line, you dash, and when you dash the time stops for a few frames, right? Those frames are for you to prepare landing and/or chaining another dash that would, again, stop the time... it doesnt feel fluent
On super meat boy you can run and jump and run and jump, thats my preference, and Celeste level design mostly doesnt let you, each Celeste screens feels like a precision puzzle instead of an speed one

the reason 60 fps is a great spot is bcs the human eye has between 30-60 fps

so having 60 ensures everything looks smooth

120+ is pure overkill
