Yes. Mystery and intrigue is not bad, but relying on it is not good. For example, terraria at face value has no lore. It’s just a fun sandbox adventure. Then you look a little deeper, and some of the odder things have lore explanations. Nothing crazy, but just a little bit for the player to digest if they want to. Nobody needs to know lore to play terraria. Minecraft is trying to introduce these mysteries, but they need to be careful. I like the current direction of the game, but I don’t like what Microsoft is doing with it.

increase enchanting table bookshelf range from just a 5x5x2 box to a 10 by 10 box, any bookshelf over the initial 15 placed will give you a higher chance of getting a better enchant (instead of just unbr 3 you get unbr3+eff4 for example)

make it so you need other blocks to craft certain things: for stone tools you don't need anything, for iron maybe you need an anvil near the crafting table, for diamonds since they require so much heat you could need a heat source like fire or lava nearby

both of those are fairly simple to add and they'd spur up creativity, now you finally have a reason to build a library or a forge!
