So we know from HK that Soul can be used to generate electricity (Volt Twisters). Hornet's father (Pale King) was also extremely skilled at using Soul and seems to have been capable of something similar (the Wingsmoulds appear to have some Soul electromagnet thingy in their cores, and white sparks can be seen flying out when they're struck). Knowing that Hornet inherited the ability to manipulate Soul from her father, and that even normal bugs can learn to use Soul to generate electricity, it stands to reason that Hornet would also be able to learn this ability (and probably have an easier time doing so thanks to her natural aptitude/Wyrm heritage). However, I note that in Hornet's case silk and Soul are inseparably bound. What this means is that Hornet would probably have electrified silk and use that to defibrillate someone.

Ergo, defibrillator would not be a tool, but a Silk Skill!
