Also, Ruina is like the master of the concept of sonder, x degrees of separation and symbolism/subtext. The ludonarrative harmony is off the charts. The gameplay, aesthetic and story mesh together so well to form something greater than the sum of its parts. It has insane foreshadowing and setup, pretty much everything mentioned comes up and is important and I still have a lot of the game left. And I haven't even mentioned the insanely strategic and complex deckbuilder turn based card gameplay

Its... Ugly but it has its own style and I find that great, as it is a platformer... there are some sections where u have to jump and it feels weird... the movement is made more for combat than for platformer

Fromsoft nails down their enemy design, but the bosses are sort of the central “duel” scenarios. Enemies are more a part of the area/dungeon you’re exploring than individual entities.
