partial agree. i dont mind a boss being easy or having little lore or whatever if it breaks up the exploration at a good point. some bosses are just not well designed though. elder hu is a good example, his whole gimmick is that you cant hit him for half the fight and its just tedious. fighting him once is like whatever but dealing with him in godhome is a pain.

some decisions on godhome bosses were questionable too. ascended markoth is of course the obvious example, with knives coming at you from off screen and such. uumuu without tiso is also super obnoxious.

Yeah, Dead Cells is a blast. I pick it up every couple of months, but I sure binge it when I do. Just alot of different ways to play the game and difficulty scales up fairly as you get better at the game. Still need to play the new DLC

but what does 'canon' mean here? they're already part of the canon, they're parts of the whole of the video game hollow knight. the endings inform each other, and reflect your choices in-game. it's not like hollow knight is a real series of events with a single true history that can be made correct or incorrect--it's a complete and finished piece of art

By canon I mean what happens in a player’s playthrough. If you leave zote for dead, didn’t meet Bretta or cloth and get the sealed siblings ending then that’s canon to you - but if silksong acknowledges embrace the void then that means that sealed siblings never happened, thus invalidating your playthrough. This won’t happen and thus none of the endings will be acknowledged. Silksong will leave it up for interpretation which ending is canon for you, but without acknowledging any of the endings
