Usually when a game has idea bloat, it tends to mean there’s a lot of concepts, npcs, sometimes story beats, or even stuff like maps, that are not utilized to the fullest extent that they could be because there’s already so much content within a game. Usually Idea bloat happens when you have so many things you want your game to be, but not the restraint to reign it in and figure out which ideas are for the best

Ornstein and Smough but they're both aggressive all the time, they both have that bullshit magic attack, they do too much damage, fat guy's roll is obnoxious, arena is too small, too fast, you get combo'd easily, impossible to heal, they respawn indefinitely, and to add insult to injury those two fucking knights in front of the fog gate really piss me off.

||Technically speaking yes she never lost. But damn it does feel like it. The only thing she won was actually not dying as it was the only way to end the fight without risking her life. She gave up trying to get the rune and just wanted to save her life instead (and needed to get carried back to the Haligtree by Finlay when everyone was rotting away. It's also mentioned that she was on the backfoot for most of the fight and didn't engage Radahn much directly as she would otherwise get overpowered). So I believe it is a defeat in a way. She didn't get what she came to take and almost died in the process if it wasn't for the Bloom happening at that exact timing because she doesn't control it fully.||

||I’d say that malenia came out way better - radahn not only is a husk but is probably nowhere near his max power as this shell of a being has to deal with holding back literal stars, malenia is at full power, closer to godhood, basically left her mark on a third of the continent, and came out basically unscathed||
