Tc did say they want to write silksong's lore that you don't have to play the first game, which can make for some good non-canon stories.

But the problem now is the fandom might get players who never played the first game and them giving their theories about Hornet's backstory I'd die laughing if they start theorizing who her dad is and paint him as this mysterious spider god or something
