I personally enjoyed Undertale and I wasn't ever biased by community about the game. And this game is known as having a especially toxic one, but I think they're just very loud people. this is unrelated to the current topic but tbh I'm very excited to see how the Vibes of SS differ from the original. Is it going to be more of an "involved" story, or will it be similarly as somber as HK, will there be options to affect the story in minor ways like HK, will there be more multiple endings, will the DLCs exist, etc.

In terms of exploration I think ER is pretty high in my list, I enjoy exploring way more than I've done with Dark Souls 3. But for some reasons DKS3 has some fun and cinematic parts that were impressive

ER just done great of making an open world and I think, that way, their goal was to attract more people (even non-souls veterans)
DKS3 did great in terms of lore and ambiance BUT It's really hard to me to continue it because of the lack of open-world. Otherwise I think it's a great game from what sections I've played, I can't say the same for the whole game, haven't finished yet
