Just checked the first boss battle in that E3 2019 gameplay and when Hornet got hit, she didn't lose any silk, at all. I read what you posted, that IF you get hit while healing, you lose the silk and the healing is cancelled, but if you're careful in the fight, having mostly got the patterns of the boss down, you won't get hit while healing.
