As long as isn’t a mechanic that can fuck you in combat I think it’s fine, as long as it doesn’t interrupt you mid fight with an animation that get’s you killed I don’t see it being a problem

i guess theres some truth on making it easier but even then, id rather have an uninterrupted flow of climbing ledges vs the old ass hop from one platform to another

I think the flow is better having to hop onto each platform, it feels like you have a bit more control over every movement, and you actually have to precisely time your jumps to do it more quickly.

i can see the idea behind but being able to save myself from a shit jump is more welcoming to me at this point

in addition its like the idea of having more animations to interact the environment to me

like if theres an FPS, they dont have to add an animation that shows you youre vaulting over a waist high wall, and they could just make it so you can go over it in a simple jump, but for me those small little things add up to the overall feel instead of old school gamey "just jump over it"

and thats the same feeling i get seeing ledge climb in SS, and i dont think its gonna be too intrusive eitherway

All I think is if it prevents you from being able to rapidly wall-jump up the sides of small ledges like you can do in Hollow Knight, then it's terrible to me, lol.

i mean for boosting, they added a high jump boost if you press jump while youre in the ledge climb animation

so it just doesnt prop you or force you to the platform if you trigger it

and the way i see it this is way more friendly for hopping inbetween thin platforms because you can keep ledge boosting instead of doing pixel perfect wall climbs

And the ledge jump boost thing is the exact same as your jump just a different animation. It's flavor 🧂
