My monitor is a $50 dollar piece of garbage, (the actual pc is $200 total) and I’ve had no problems with consistency in that aspect. The only time I’ve had trouble with lag in Hollow Knight was 1.2.2.1 THK.

Like literally just play a game that has perma-loss and see how it's not that big of a deal. the double death scenario from HK was far from uncommon, especially with new players, and there's no reason to assume it's going to be LESS of an issue with silksong, considering there are less iframes and more aggressive enemies

relegate Jiji's functionality to a consumable like rosary strings that are usable from any bench

you have removed the 2 biggest problems with Jiji: players not finding her, and the annoying backtrack to dirtmouth
