On some cases leaking can actually benefit developers/companies, and some companies such as Epic Games have even begun to embrace it.

you see her name come up in tabletop rpg circles more often, but jennel jaquays was a writer and level designer for old old old school dnd (and some video games, quake, i think?) whose approach to design kinda became a standard for complex exploration-based levels. lot of emphasis on loops, multiple entrance points, memorable nodes of activity to use as landmarks, etc

I'm p sure nvidia has some sort of protection against suing due to date reveals, and I'd bet that in nearly all cases, the dates are placeholders. Why put a real date that might be leaked, when you can put a hidden placeholder date and just change it to the real one when you want the real one to be visible

i imagine the video game industry is pretty cautious about the possibility of leaks nowadays, plus the unreliability of dev time, so for games with later releases they're very likely placeholders, closer games might be the actual dates though
