Judging they are showing them off in this format and with that labeling, it seems to me that these were the newest enemies they had created and were showing them off as an example of showing us their progress. They could have used any enemies, these were picked less as a showcase of themselves and more because of convenience.
EVIDENCE 2: Two of them are shaded and no names are given. I think if they were revealing a new boss they would introduce them together at once, and put slightly more attention to them. This enforces my first point.
EVIDENCE 3: "This is a tough later game trio who, when in battle, work closely together, covering for each other’s weaknesses." This sounds like a point against me, but keep in mind Team Cherry are doing what anyone would do in putting information out: Making it sound good. They want to sell their game after all. "Battle" could easily mean just encountering them in the world, and the whole "covering each other's weaknesses" bit is possibly just a way to spice up the way it sounds. There are several examples of enemies in Hollow Knight working together to make a room or area more difficult without being intrinsically linked.
EVIDENCE 4: "...former tenders of a dusty vault full of ancient knowledge." I don't know about you, but a "vault" sounds about as dungeon-y as you can be. This is likely a small area, so I don't think there would be more than one boss (at the very most, one boss and one miniboss, but having a miniboss with three separate characters with separate attacks seems very overkill.)
EVIDENCE 5: The last Judge has an incredibly similar design and is all but confirmed to be a boss (huge, special attacks, dedicated arena) so if there is a boss in this area, it would not be these three.

Halo 5 is just decent because the campaign weighs it down a lot

It's like if Silksong was focused around Zote and his game was entirely different than what you're used to with Hollow Knight

Silksong is just the natural progression of Hollow Knight. If it was like Halo 5 there would be a lot of discrepancies, the art style would be pixelated or something to "save money", it wouldn't release with half the game, and it would anger the entire fanbase

so yeah. I'm respectful of what Team Cherry are doing with Hollow Knight: Silksong. Delaying a game doesn't mean it will be good, but at the end of the day they have talent and intuition on their side, as well as not promising anything like what 343i does.
