Most MP games i do arent really played for some item or stat or wtv, i just play them for fun and to improve, yet i dont pull that same excuse i have for roguelikes, which is also argued on the aspect of progression from getting good with them

but i think a big deal for me boils down to:

1. multiplayer games has huge social aspect to them that keeps me going back to them, so even if i do bad, i still get my fun interacting with weirdos online
2. most of the genre/gameplay just doesnt meld with me with roguelikes
3. i just have this "long term" thought on how my campaigns will go, something i cant really formulate with roguelike cuz of their structure

easy is actually hard
normal is very hard
and elite is actually kinda like hard again because it has this opposite loop of "You fight harder enemies but that means they all bring more loot so in a way its easier than the previous 2 difficulties because you get a lot more stuff to snowball the campaign with"
