like in sekiro you have structure or whatever its called. each deflect builds it up, when you are at maximum and you get hit or block instead of deflect - you are stunned, block perfectly - never breaks. in sifu avoids remove some of it iirc

For example, if I am 4000m away from something, I will be seeking to travel 400m/s.
But that will decrease as I get closer, so I want to be slowing down

Also in general, small movements. Don't always go full thrust when detailing

I think my general advice getting into survival horror is to get into the mindset of always having scarce resources, sometimes it's better to sneak/run past an enemy and save the ammo for a situation where you really need it. making the decisions of what threats you can safely avoid and what one's are better to take out is core to the genre, lots of resource management and decision making
