Pollip Pouch is incredibly weak (2nd worst blue tool in the game), Reaper is the weakest Crest so I'd recommend experimenting with others (if you want to stay with Reaper that's completely fine), Fractured Mask falls off the more masks you have, so probably replace for Sawtooth Circlet or Volt Filament or whatever you like, Longclaw isn't needed on Reaper it already has good range, and Pale Nails get outclasses in most situations (unless using Shaman Crest) so I'd recommend testing out other silk skills and seeing what fits

Best crest for both combat and exploration is Hunters crest, best blue tool options include Sawtooth Circlet, Volt Filament, Multibinder, Injector Band, Snitch Pick, etc. Best red tools include Fintslate, Fleabrew, Conchcutters, Curvesickle, Delvers Drill, Voltbola OR Voltvessels, etc. and the best silk skill is definitely Cross Stitch but any of them are good to use (minus Rune Rage). I personally suggest Sharp Dart, but whatever you enjoy is good too.

Any crest with 2 red slots can almost perfectly replicate most of what architect can do

its a game philosophy kinda deal with this. main thing is just making it so that to succeed the player has more varied options. while its true that you can succeed with anything, it's way more difficult to for no reason sometimes. and climbing the difficulty ladder, esp as you get into like challenges and modded stuff, more of the good shit is encouraged which, if not balanced correctly, leads to homogenization
