If you do the work to actually acquire all the upgrades to the needle you shouldn’t just be told “oh ya so we’re actually gonna lower your damage where it actually matters”

What I find confusing tho is that the mossgrubs in moss grotto take 2 hits and the mossmirs take 3 hits but when you upgrade your needle the mossmirs die in 1 hit and the mossgrubs still die in 2

the thing is noone in their first playthrough will ever feel that theyre not getting stronger by getting nail upgrades, tbe damage multiplier is there to make its scaling feel more linear

I noticed it during my first (and only) playthrough when where I went from the 1st to the 2nd* needle upgrade against the enemies in the uhhh coral chambers (can’t remember if it was 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd bleh.)

Cause I genuinely did not feel like it did nearly as much as a difference
