i ended up having way more fun in this game by just banning red tool for my challenges in general because it felt like they actively made my experience less engaging. and thats not a great sign when im enjoying myself more by removing a core mechanic.

i like having the freedom to do things however tf cause to me it’s like the difficulty of the game is dictated by the build you choose as opposed to a difficulty slider or something and i like it that way

I do not want to go back and grind for more resources because i spent too long on a boss. for lost lace i gave up on reds entirely so i didn't have to go back (hence me banning them for my next run as it made the game more fun, people found ll overwhelming but without red tools i found her a blast.) Shell shards would be so much better if staggering bosses gave you more. then you could farm shards while also practicing the fight you are stuck on.
