joined this server to say that silksong is a very overrated game and absolutely sucks. the games combat revolves around attacking, but when youre next to an enemy (which is most the time) and yet theres only 1 normal horizontal attack and it stinks. its way too slow, especially on crests like reaper and shaman, which heavily limits build variety. theres no 3 hit combos or strategy when all it is is to just attack and dodge. like wheres the variety? wheres the interesting decision making when all i have to do is dodge and attack? the fact that half the crests are too slow and the other half have some bullshit gimmick to them genuinely makes me piss. the horizontal attack genuinely feels like nails on chalkboard considering the crazy startup and endlag. except for wanderers crest, which makes me kiss my enemies to be able to attack. i dont like kissing my enemies. unless theyre muckroaches. anyway, i measured out the distance and wanderer crest attacks are 0.6x the distance of hunter crest attacks, so its unusable and shit. also, pogos are stupid cuz they bounce me and stop me from continuing to damage the boss. also, the movement in this game sucks since clawline and dash are both horizontal movement options and dont add any complexity to dynamic aerial movement. like wtf? float stinks because it makes me fall slower which slows down the game because thats what slowing something down does. double jump is good tho, but over done to death. PLEASE make something unique team cherry! stop making metroidvaniaslop and combatslop and movementslop and attackslop!
