Honestly no. I found it way more random and unpredictable than literally every boss in the game. I was able to beat every boss in less than an hour, but this crap took me about 100 tries. There are just so many ways that the platform changes, big fleas, diagonal fleas, etc. can line up in ways that are almost undodgeable and ruin your run.

Rain worlds challenge is more about platforming and evading predators than basic survival needs. very hollow knight esque map design. good combat too, lots of advanced movement tech due to the physics based character movement. the closest to a survival mechanic is to save and sleep you need to eat enough food to hibernate in a shelter. food isnt that hard to come across either. its more about exploring a map full of environmental storytelling and evading the threats around, finding secrets and paths forward. theres not really a metroidvania movement progression your movement abilities are all there at the start your skill progression is the only thing that advances.
