Reaper has the best pogo for platforming and here is why:

Firstly, you shouldn't judge a crest by how good it can be, when that criteria doesn't apply to the majority of the playerbase. Beast Crest is technically fantastic for platforming, but only for those that are really good with it.
Reaper has everything you should be looking for. The pogo is the most forgivable, covering an extremely wide and long range. While hunter may be "better" it is extremely unforgiving in comparison. Reaper doesn't require you to be precise, and the slow swings makes the general movement slower. That may sound like a bad thing to some, but it basically just helps you platform with less pressure.
Another point is the low skill ceiling, making the crest more accessesible to all players. Just because it is 'good' doesn't mean it is easy to use. Reaper however is both of those things.
Reaper is also very usefull for platforming where you can fill up silk. Certain enemies infinitely respawn, and the Reaper's long range lets you hit them with ease, allowing you to fill up your silk without trouble.

All pogos are good in their own way, though some are just simply better, depending on your opinion and liking.
Personally I'd say:
Hunter—Overall good, but very unforgiving in platforming
Reaper—Not too usefull in most combat, but extremely good in platforming
Beast—I don't like the pogo, as it doesn't apply to my fighting style. I may as well just dash instead of using it.
Witch—Very good in combat, platforming with it is a pain however, due to the pull.
Architect—Very good, as it is extremely versatile and basically just a worse delvers drill for free.
Wanderer—Just a pogo, perfect for what it is
Shaman—While it has good range, I have trouble estimating how far it will go, hence I don't like it too much.
