So I found this trick pretty early on in the game that kills bosses really easily:
If you hit the attack key bind (can find out what that is in the settings) you send out a slash that does damage! It gets you silk too which you can use to heal. Pretty OP stuff

I personally think doing something like making enemies solid and/or making them a lot more maneuverable and aggressive would be Better BUT thats my opinion. Its just a different answer on the same question of "how do i handle an enemy overlapping with the player"

this would obviously require Rethinking the game from the ground up which is not worth the time and effort
