• I've heard lots of these "AI are stealing your arts, jobs, devs, etc" but i asked myself if that really is the case, AI filter for artist are still out there, artist who works for money still has a job, any cs devs/students still has a job, creative works are still being pumped out everyday and heck it's becoming even easier to pump them out. Because AI was meant to skip the "lazy and tedious part"
• Bad users find any meaningful efforts a waste of time - see where i'm getting? - so they chose to skip that part.
• To me, the rules are just changing and i'm more than welcome to see how this goes. I mean, i think AI is cool asf

Remember: you cannot remove the accelerate status but you can treat it as the enemy giving you a free turn.

i agree with generating images generally being bad - the result of the naked generating you mentioned is from opensourcing image generation models, so if enterprises locked it up and kept it behind their tos it would not happen. but should that happen or not - and hte alternative is just not making ai. realistically this will never happen since companies chase profits like npcs and ai sounds like its profitable

as for its uses it has many
personally im a programmer and its very useful to be adapted to specific usecases and asking security questions, its like having a teacher personally. but the current scale of ai is wasteful, currently i am running it locally on my own hardware to avoid supporting any company.
as for image generation, i agree in the sense that it shouldnt be attempting to generate photorealistic. i dont find good use for this other than impersonation, etc or story generation which is usually done better w artistic methods such as art whatever. i like image generation only for generating schemas, graphs, or visualizing a concept, which is not really how the current image generation works and i do not like the aspect

Well, here's my take on this:

• "AI is just another google", yes and no. AI in itself acts as a massive server of data collection, ready to be used and accessed by the anyone at anywhere in anytime. Sounds lots like google yea?
• But let's consider just GPT here: it has shorter, more intuitive interfaces with simple-to-understand GUI whereas finding stuff on google requires you to type and matchmake with datas out there, then you have to scroll and find exactly what you're looking at
• GPT here can easily do that, and even do that with long prompts in fast and precise manners. For people with less time - hopefully people with limitations too because it help a lot - and people that just really want to maximize their times.
• Sure i can find the exact same things 3 links away from the title i typed. But GPT can find the exact wordings with the exact instructions in a matter of 3 seconds of me typing to prompt, helping me transalate and quickly explain complex stuff by having a very dedicated team coding a giant neuron networks for their models
