Safe pogo, bigger range to compensate the slower attack rate + curved attacks that cover a bigger area, attack hitboxes stay for a little longer (?). All of these make it very good for parrying
The special ability with the safe pogo can give you a lot of heal, or can be useful on big bosses like GMS
