Red tools system is horribly designed in general. And it would be fairly easy to fix the system. Shell shards system is rather frustrating as it makes players who are struggling with a fight have to stop and spend a while doing bland ass grinding to get more. This would be easily fixed by making gauntlet enemies drop shell shards and having bosses drop shards when staggered. The spamming issue is also pretty simple to fix, just give longer cast animations/make them harder to safely land and balance with better damage. So that you actually have to find openings to use them instead of spam.

her moveset changes and she now uses her needle like a scythe with like another silk spike protruding sideways from the tip of the needle

its speed remains the same
now the bind would turns hornet into the grim reaper
hitting enemies would instantly kill them with her death touch like the real grim reaper
she can absorb the enemy's soul to heal 2 masks
