I think 2nd is a little too chaotic and feels inconsistently dodgeable on some patterns, but still fun.
1st seems pretty fair/fun. Dunno, the no hit runner had to resort to cross stitch every time there are balls, but you can just smack the away, and I think they are pretty avoidable.
