what i was saying was moreso (using thread storm as an example) most situations you find yourself in most bosses are going to be a time where you can almost immediately get into position to make use of thread storm, and bosses that don't... aren't bosses you would pick thread storm in to begin with. it's not necessarily the most optimal spell at any given moment, which is where i imagine multiple spell slots gets its use from, but how much of a difference does that make in comparison to giving up red tools, a good bind, etc.

especially when red tools can fill some of these niches: high damage output? curvesickle does 17 damage per hit and volt spear can do 77 damage total. using homing attacks to get damage in regardless of positioning? cogfly does 50 damage total per use. if you're willing to use a blue slot on volt filament, then you should be more than willing to use a blue slot on quick sling for double the burst damage. not to mention the lack of silk cost for most tools means more access to healing and/or the silk skill you're running than shaman

Dodge away from her because of her 3 hit combo or the rising attack followed by a diagonal downward attack. (this is her usual move when you are close)

For me when she parries, don't bother waiting it out. Attack her when she does it because you get a free hit window. The staple move to dodge any of her parry is just jump and dodge to left or right. You have to be quick tho.

As much as possible, fight her in the center of the arena.
