There is that, and that's fair. She was holding him down. Because, he was infected at the time, and the infection does grant strength, so she might not have been able to defeat him there. Even if she could, it wouldn't really matter. I don't know what happens if you kill a vessel that has the Radiance inside of it, but I would assume she's released, so that wasn't an option

I think you miss my point. It's because Ghost takes two very different paths to perform the same thing. Ghost went to the Black Egg for Dream No More and went to Godhome for Embrace The Void. And there is a very simple explanation of the silbings, and that's that the shades can fuse into the Shade Lord and divide into singluar Shades at will.

Yea, because all the vessels are dead, execpt Ghost and Hollow. Ghost becomes the core of the Shade Lord, because he's the only perfect Vessels and all the dead Shades fuse with his Shade. Hollow is alive, so his Shade, which only comes out when a Vessel dies, isn't a part of the Shade Lord.
But we see Hollow's Shade in Dream No More, because we're inside of Hollow's mind, so his Shade, which the closest thing he has to a soul, is there.
