im sorry but reaper is actually just a crutch for people to get more heals since it generates hella lots of silk. but other crests have cool binding abilities, lifesteal, rampage, focus bars for not getting hit, increased silk skill damage, tool spam with a busted charged attack, fast and short attacks to squeeze in damage at every opening.

reaper has the slowest attack speed, all crests have the same needle damage per hit btw without buffs which puts reaper in a tight spot. its ability is the generate silk orbs when hitting stuff which is generally inconsistent in an actual battle. you'd be getting more silk by actually hust hitting the enemy and there is NO situation in this game WHERE YOU BURN SILK EXTREMELY FAST. reaper bad period

Her attacks are way too quick. If you actually want to attack her, there is no time to dedicate yourself to the attack because all of her attacks are incredibly fast so you wont be able to dodge if you go for an attack.
She can do triple damage. If she does a jumping attack, if I go for a hit which makes me unable to dodge, she does contact damage for one mask and then immediately does double damage attack without me being able to get out
the hitboxes are wonky. Often times I parry her attack, pogo over her, but the attack still hits me after and does double damage
Her attack patterns are rng. In second or third phase, where she can chain dash attacks, she can interrupt that randomly, and there is no way for you to tell. Do I commit in staying in the air, thinking she will chain the dashes, and risk being caught by her jump attack? Or do I go to the ground, anticipating the air attack,but then get caught by another dash attack she decided to chain. It's so stupid
her instant parry is downright cheap. She barely has enough downtime for you to attack her, but a lot of the times she can do this insta parry move on you. And it happens IMMEDIATELY. She can finish her attack, I can start my own swing, and before my swing even connects with her, she does the insta parry which of course triggers for her. And then she can attack you from whatever random direction, for double damage. This is probably the move I despise the most, and the fight would actually be somewhat enjoyable without that, despite the other rng bull****.

And then of course, all of her attacks hit you for 2x damage, and if you fall out of the arena, you take 2x damage as well for whatever reason.

There is no reason for this tiny character to be hitting so hard, and also have contact damage.
Like, realistically speaking, Hornet is supposed to be this strong hunter or whatever - but she can't do any contact damage.

the way i see it, you really don't need to play 100% flawlessly to get good value out of the focus passive. A 50% uptime is more than reasonable, and that's already a 12.5% overall damage increase

Yeah, but it's not something to adapt to, just consider it a bonus if you last long. It's also good against enemies like GMS where you're constantly attacking so it's easy to build focus.

I just fought with first sinner and I must say I have enjoyed this battle. In my first try I thought why I am unable to hit him he was parrying most of my attacks then after my second try I go to the nearest bench and changed my crest to wonderer and used only two tools 1. Dice 2. Claw. When I return I defeated his first phase I thought it was over but then I realised it's not over i died but in the next try I saw him healing in that moment I didn't felt anything but joy I was so happy because after a long time playing silksong i finally found the best boss I defeated him on the same try.
