Clawline and cogflies melt them tbh (and make sure you have all needle upgrades). I only use tools on flying enemies and the whole tower is more easily doable. Otherwise, you can generally wait on walls and potentially pogo on spikes

The only real obstacle in Underworks is the platforming section near the benches which forces you to slow down, and the one respawning fat man, which you can kill with two pimpillos. Then you have a straight shot to sauna with basically no enemies at all, through the Choral chambers ventrica room.
