What I did was I did a run where I completely stopped attacking, and focused only on dodging. I tried to stay alive as long as possible. When you're not looking for opportunities to attack, you can focus on getting really good at dodging, and then you'll better spot windows of attack

I'm being pedantic because im trying to make you realise that dying more does not mean always mean you're less skilled, skill does not always mean you stay alive there are so many 0 skill ways to stay alive, you can say that staying alive in arenas or bosses requires skill because you have limited resources and are under constant pressure, this does not apply to exploration, no only staying alive while not playing safe and farming silk requires skill, you are not telling me to get better at the game to die less, you are telling me to play in a way that i hate and acting like its a good solution. I've done high halls on 5 masks no tools probably more times than you've died there if that isn't even the benchmark for you guys how out of touch are you, i think its perfectly reasonable to complain about a system that rewards you for playing boring

I'm just too bored to switch off Silksong rn, so trying to do it legit for a bit, but usually I'd also cheat it for completion's sake. Funnily enough, that would be considered fair game in most achievement hunting communities. Most achievement hunting communities permit acquiring achievements through abusing in-game exploits. It's just a thing I'm attempting out of boredom, to pass the time, lol.
