Are the judges in blasted steps actually bugs? they give off a mechanical impression. the last judge explodes in a fiery hellscape when it dies and the other judges just stand still until a sinner passes by and they have this sort of "activation" prompt. Are they actually organic bugs or just machines? yeah, I don't mind it for balance. Though it's def not equal. The silk cost is higher relative to spells. Used to be 1 spell 1 hp. now 1 spell is 1.5 hp. cant say it completely meaningfully right now, but basically:
bilewater its the cost of pharloom looking so pure and perfect up in the citadel. the whole “ascend, rise, follow the faith” thing only works because something underneath got left to rot. its like the kingdom built its glory on top of decay, a metaphor and also an critique aswell to capitalism where progress at the top always means exploitation below. bilewater is the shadow-price of the citadel's progress and expansion; a beautiful area of crystal clear waters completely ruined by urbanization and industrialization, even the soundtrack hits with this sense of loss, like youre walking through a place that was sacrificed so the place above could shine, its as if you could feel the size of the citadel suffocating bilewater. and the way the game shows that is smart, bilewater feels punishing, hostile, like it doesnt want you there, its design makes you feel that injustice reflecting it all on you. that frustration fits perfectly with the theme of stagnation vs movement, while the citadel is all about climbing higher, bilewater keeps you stuck in bile, kind of forcing you to face the side of pharloom nobody talks about and also reminding you that ascension and expansion always has a great cost behind it

and also the groal has a cool lore, i think its sad how no one understands something so obvious like the fact that he only has the vengeful spirit because he tortured the snail shaman that is located after his gautlet lol

reaper gives me about the same success rates as shaman/hunter for super late game bosses, though on the low end of the 3, but they are all close. The pogo is second best for plats, and the mana comes in really useful for clearing maps, and it's great for flying enemies (running attack trips them up real well). It's solid and well rounded.
