Yes you have to play more passive, yes you cant punish the same way, but those are only some of the changes you have to make to adapt to the differences, not the differences as a whole. And really, theres only so many ways you can change up a ground based boss fight in a 2d combat system without changing the combat system itself in a fundamental way. If youre going to say that LL and lace 2 are "basically the same" then I would go so far as to extend that to bosses like PV and even karmelita; theyre all about just dodging and then finding windows to strike back once youve avoided the attacks, right?

Reaper is fine for what it is. It is pretty balanced for how strong it is at exploration/platforming, the dash attack is fast, but the rest of the moveset is about safety not speed. Seemed on par with hunter to me in LL fight.
