the most irritating part of silksong is not the environmental hazards, the platforming, the runbacks, or the bosses, but in fact the INABILITY to maintain a healthy amount of shell shards within normal gameplay without resorting to roserie farming -- not shell shard farming, roserie farming, to convert INTO shell shards. enemies give you less than 10 shell shards and the shard outcroppings also give you around 10-15 except for the gigantic ones, but refilling your tools costs between 100-200 shell shards, making usage entirely negative unless you are farming

my standard build is poison cogfly and straight pin. as far as blue charms go i think the one that increases your healing in combination with the one that speeds up your healing is one of the very best, but you cant use it in conjunction with poison until you have 2 verticrests, so i would go for the latter until that point, because poison really is that good imo

just pay close attention to the telegraphs. The spin attack gave me a lot of grief because it felt like I had no time to react, then I realized that he spins his dingaling around before doing the spin attack with a distinct audio cue, gives you enough time to run away

for the 2nd phase when he goes fire mode, just be mindful of the distance because the scoop attack can come as a bit of a surprise but it's more of the same, read the telegraphs and dodge early, don't try to react to attacks as they happen

The games punishing damage can be rough especially if you're inexperienced in platform fighters, but it goes out of its way to reward learning the enemies behavior

its difficult until you equip the charm that reduces fire and lava damage, then it is trivialized. the boss dealing 2 mask damage would be fine but you cant get silk to heal during the fight so its actually quite hard. with the charm you can essentially face tank the boss
