It's already been leaked that the only people that tested the game were two Hollow Knight steel soul speedrunners and that is who they tuned the difficulty for. Most people playing haven't even made it to act 2 if you look at achievement completion rates

True. Main difference is ||karmelita is much bigger in a smaller arena. Takes a lot more effort to avoid running into her compared to lace who is a fish in an ocean. Also karamalita has a lot more fast projectiles. The only thing that made lace hard to me (as a hunter crest user) was the triple dash.||
