Basically if you are holding the button to look down, you will do the parachute instead of double jump, that's why it happens most often when doing pogos, and in the patch they will remove that feature entirely so it will always be double jump first then parachute

i just started act 2 proper and honestly, i think its reallly really good, but i also think theres a lot of growing pains, and you can definitely tell this game started as a dlc in act 1. i think some of the areas are a little bit uninteresting until late act 1, and i think some of the bosses are kinda just remixed versions of hollow knight bosses. i dont mind the design philosophy of the exploration being the reward, but in some areas it would definitely be nice to have a little bit more for overcoming a challenge that progressing to the next difficult section. act 1 is definitely going to be the lowest point of this game from what i can tell, but honestly, the amount of content, polish, and intruige the game has from late act 1 - act 2 makes up for how awkward act 1 is for a bit.
