2. In terms of pogo in combat wanderer has the best for enemies that cant respond to fast pogos, reaper has the best one if you want range but the physics for repeated pogos can get finicky

Hi, so I'm yet another person to complain about silksong's difficulty/balancing. For context on my experience with hollow knight, I've 112%-ed the game, done P5 multiple times, and beat every boss on radiant. I also think I did most of path of pain before getting tired at the last room lol. And despite this, I feel like I'm just too bad and casual of a gamer to enjoy silksong properly.

My main gripe is the platforming. I mostly got used to the jumpy things (and the bigger variations of them like the bells pose no issue), but the majority of the environmental damage doing 2 masks is insane. This is especially bad in ||the citadel, where in some rooms everything is covered in gears, and I've counted that I died in some of these rooms like 10 times individually||. With some bosses I even die to the runbacks more than them (||most notably the last judge, he was a pushover who himself only took like 4-5 tries but jesus the walk back||).

The last straw for me earlier today was ||getting to the area that gives you the harpoon. You see, if you die in that tutorial area you respawn at the altar, which is fine. However, you have no silk, which means that most of the time you have no way of reaching your cocoon. So effectively making one or two mistakes in a tutorial means you're losing all of your money. And the only way to get more silk to try again is to literally kill yourself. I've genuinely died like 10-15 times in this room already||.

I kinda just feel like quitting the game for now until the game gets a patch or something, because it seems like I'm ruining my experience by playing it right now. Like, the game is incredible, the movement, the visuals, the sound, the combat are all amazing, but all of that gets overshadowed by frustration, which grows the further I get into the game. So I'm afraid that if I try to just power through the game now I'll taint my first playthrough and only remember how annoyed I was, but if I don't, I'll probably get everything spoiled.
