Tips for the ||final judge||

Phase 1 is a tutorial, use this to get familiar with the general attack patterns and most importantly cues for the different attacks

phase 2 ||the ground slam is their most consistent attack, and by extension the only one you can consistently punish, I recommend focusing entirely on evasion outside this attack as trying to punish the others risks a lot of damage to often not even get hits in. General punish strat is ground attack jump attack over the fire, ground attack but can cut it short depending on spacing||

||the spin isn't really punishable, you can use it to heal if you space right though, or chuck some range attacks if your doing well on evading||

||the charge, while sometimes punishable depending on fire rng, your better off focusing on safe spacing and preparing for the slam which often follows this||

||the thrown flail, can be used from off screen, when off screen listen for the judge to stop moving and make a lighter grunt as a sign to run away now||

||when they're defeated relax and enjoy the firework display||

||or enjoy it from a safe distance||

Yeah, like I am 100% certain I could absolutely love this game. But it needs some fixes first. Remove the absurd quantity of rosary costs for stags and benches, make more enemies drop them, fix the animation locking when casting your spells, make a better risk reward system between balancing heals with your spool or using spells... And reduce enemy hp, not every random ant needs to take 8 hits to kill only to drop 2 shards and 3 rosaries.

Yeah, it's really poorly balanced. Yes, it heals 3 hearts, which is great. But it does take I think 8 or 9 hits to get the spool to heal. And when it takes that many hits to get a single heal out, you're kinda forced to just hold on to your Spool in case you get hit, and are thus incentivised to just NOT use your spell abilities. It's a really frustrating system

It shouldn't be a thing that needs to be solved in the first place, is the problem. HK already had that system perfected. A few hits for a single heart heal, roughly the same cost as one spell. It was a 1 to 1 ratio of "do I need a heal or can i get away with a spell?".
Now it's like a 3 to 1 ratio where it's not worth casting the spell cuz if you get hit, itll do 2 hearts, and if u just used a spell, ur most likely just fucked before you can hit the boss enough to get the full spool to heal.

Do you think Silksong puts pressure on AAA publishers and devs to lower their prices(even optimize their games better potentially, but mainly prices).

It's a game massive in scope, feels very polished on release and is very consistent in quality. It's also visually one of the best looking games ever made due to its art. Yet it is $20. It is an extremely thoughtful and well hand-crafted game with care put into every aspect and it's made by 3 people.

People are going to start thinking "What's stopping AAA devs backed by massive studios from putting in the same effort?" It apparently doesn't even cost a lot to make a game like this according to Team Cherry. A successful AAA studio doesn't need a massive marketing campaign or a $80 price tag if they take a lesson from this. People will buy and hype up your game based on good reputation.
