Calamity is pretty much a boss rush with a few more steps as opposed to a modified version of Terraria with the same gameplay loop. I spend significantly more time in vanilla Terraria build farms or chilling as opposed to Calamity where I usually spend like ~1 hour preparing for bosses before clearing through like 4-5 in a row
