In the cooking minigame, by my understanding of the code:
-the timer on the screen counts in exact seconds (30 frame intervals)
-the first food spawns after between 30 and 60 frames, i.e. 1-2 seconds (not sure exactly what the starting point for this is, but alarm[0] is set to 30+irandom(30) in the spawner object's create function)
-the first fire spawns after 270 frames, i.e. 9 seconds
-when a food spawns, it will set the amount of frames until the next food to 27 + 0.3*timer, where timer is the time written on the screen. This is minimum-capped, with the fastest rate being 31.5 - effectively meaning 32 frames - at 15 seconds left or lower. The same effective rate of a food each 32 frames is also already reached at 16 seconds left.
(note: round up the value from the formula to get the actual amount of frames it takes)
-when a fire spawns, it will set the amount of frames until the next fire to 80+1.3*timer. This is not capped
