Could it be argued that Silksong and HK are innovative for the metroidvania genre because of how they seamlessly blend movement and platforming with combat? In my experience most metroidvanias don't do that, not to the same extent at least. Silksong looks to be especially acrobatic and I can't think of any pre-HK games that did the pogo mechanic.

From what we can tell right now, it seems likely. We know the build at ACMI won’t be the 2019 demo, and it won’t be a new demo, so the only real option left is the full game. And I doubt TC would premiere the game at a museum, since it would lead to a number of logistical nightmares.
