I think the addition of voice chat / a normal chat gives that FPS multiplayer feeling. Like tammo told it brings toxicity.

and people generally aren't too bad about sticking together

sometimes people will split up for like five minutes and do things in a different order but it's not a big deal

I think when it comes to adding a chat / voice chat it makes it difficulty for language barriers. In my experience with FPS ppl rely on their own language to communicate rather than using inbuilt pins so none of us have any idea whats going on
