movie starts with steve in game waking up. it’s not animated to be “realistic” it’s just stylized. he goes through his routine and maybe encounters Alex or another player in his world. there is no communication in the minecraft world besides body language and signs.
when steve goes back to bed, we cut to his real life player, Antonio Banderas 👹 who through his interactions with people around him and online makes new connections and whenever we return to the game world we see new players creating things that reflect their life experiences. nobody in the real world directly references minecraft or the game when talking - instead it is an agreed creative and relaxing outlet for them.
