not that it literally doesn't have mind/will/etc., just that is seems that way - some beings perceive it as absence, 'as if' there is no mind
WL can't sense TK's emotions (does it feel anything? if so, I cannot sense it)
PK was talking about THK during his whole spiel (as if it had no mind, etc.)
even Rad calls TK 'the empty one'
the idea is that a pure vessel couldn't be infected because Rad wouldn't be able to sense their desires and wouldn't know how to tempt them
