Hollow Knight had its nail arts, which were just charged then a specific directional input, and its spells, which shared the button with focusing which was possible due to focusing needing to be held for an extended period of time

Other than that, Team Cherry has stated that they don’t know how to make DLCs, they were struggling to figure it out so they decided to make Silksong its own game

Right now they have all the time they want to incorporate every idea and then move on to other IPs which they have also stated they wanted to do after the HK stuff is dealt with
