I think the biggest con is that it gets repetitive pretty quickly. You can play four different areas at (up to) four different times of day, but after you've played each you just kinda know where everything is. Not much changes between them, but I guess that's the whole point of the game.

What I'm really curious about is if there will ever be a sequel (or even prequel) to really delve into the story. The game is ~4 years old but a DLC of just lore stuff would be neat too.

You know what I just realized? There is a chance we might see the appearance of the hollow knight in silksong, if you really think about it. The endings in hollow knight have to be realistic compared to the trailer for silksong, hornet is clearly alive and outside of hallownest. This fact disproves an ending where the knight takes the radiance and replaces the hollow knight. It also disproves the ending where hornet becomes one of the seal bearers for the black egg. This leaves us with the ending where the radiance Is defeated by the shade lord / shade knight. This ending allows for hornet to be alive and well, AND have no reason to stay in hallownest. Yes she may have gotten kidnapped and transported to pharloom but were excluding that fact for this theory. For there to be a loose hollow knight and hornet to be free from her self imposed constraints to hallownest it is plausible that we can see an appearance of the hollow knight in silksong

No ending stops Hornet from being captured, and the ability to break seals with bugs from Pharloom makes Hornet being locked in the Black Egg not an issue. Dreamers also don’t die when sealed, we simply didn’t have the means to remove them without killing them.
