i played it a bit before 2.0 and that fix was absolutely noticable coming back to it afterwards

iirc it might've been that specifically while you were driving pedestrians wouldn't spawn or render or whatever as often as they should've to keep the city from feeling barren of life

and other cars wouldn't spawn driving in a certain direction, i forget whether it was with your side of traffic or against it
