After you defeat the third boss the game will just stop being fun as each upgrade afterwards will have diminishing returns and the boss variety will just not be able to compensate for that

based on the look of some of the classes we've seen my suspicion is the whole idea is that the world this takes place in is some kind of strange overlapping point formed by whatever the "night lord" is, and each class is somebody from some other world, maybe including some of fromsoft's pre-established worlds, and that'll also explain a handful of literal dark souls bosses being there. the whole idea of time flowing in a non-linear fashion and worlds overlapping is a subject that's always been present in the lore of both dark souls and elden ring, it was just primarily used to explain summoning and pvp mechanics until now

I'm pretty sure the whole reason Demon Souls happened was cus Miyazaki was given the opportunity when he had a "wacky" new idea. Now he's trying to pass down the torch to younger directors by helping guide them through the director process. Idk how you can hate on that policy regardless of how good the games come (except AC6 was goated anyways)

How is it?
Honestly really good. I really enjoy Taron Egerton in any movie, especially his kingsman roles but this was almost just as good. There's an awesome long take of a fight within a car speeding down the highway and it feels a lot like some of the long takes in the kingsman movies. Overall, I'm no movie critic, nor do I know enough big words to act like one, but it was thoroughly enjoyable for the whole 2hr runtime
